Keith Obermann's video timeline can be found at: http://www.crooksandliars.com/2005/09/08.html#a4862 and is a must-see video.
The timeline below, for Hurricane Katrina, the subsequent failing of the levees, and the response (or lack thereof) curtesy of http://www.thinkprogress.org/katrina-timeline. However, I am completely overwhelmed by the response of the average citizen, who as a whole have been giving and helping in many ways (props to stargal01 and others like her!). I just wish I didn't have to hear of people being turned away by the beurocracy when they are trying to bring supplies or medical aid to these people.
[UPDATE:] The timeline has been updated as we learn more of this disasterously handled disaster.
P.S. I love hearing Republicans claiming that the "liberals are blaming George Bush for this natural disaster." It's such a stupid thing to say that it's funny. No, we're all just blaming him for apointing unqualified idiots to important positions, defunding levee projects, and the horrible federal response to the natural disaster.
[UPDATE:] I've removed the timeline, as I found a much more accurate and complete (a.k.a. long) timeline at http://www.factcheck.org/article348.html

no, i wasn't denying those facts. i was simply saying that there's been a lot of negativity, doubt, and frustration expressed lately and it's time to reverse that. there's been a lot of talk about, "where was GOD?", and "why didn't GOD do something?", or "this was GOD's fault, He's against us." and i believe, as worshipers, that we need to rise up and begin cutting down those negative, false statements, and replace them with the truth. yes, there's been death, but we have life! yes, there's been destruction, but we have victory! yes, it's a grim situation, but GOD is Sovereign! He is good, and He works out everything for the good of those that love Him.
well, i personally cannot account for why Katrina happened. but i'm certainly not going to say something that's going to offend someone, or make them doubt GOD's Sovereignty. those pastors need to practice some self discipline and put a bridle over their tongues. was the hurricane judgement? if you really and trully wanna know the answer to that, then you seriously need to ask GOD for yourself, and seek wise, Godly, earthly counsel amongst men of true character and Christlikeness. i've heard lots of reasons, and lots of explainations. but the Word says to listen to prophets, and then weigh what they say against the infalliable Word. i'm not going to "thank GOD for Katrina", because that's pretty demented. and i'm not going to pinpoint a specific reason for the flooding and destruction, like the abortion clinics alone were the cause. but i do know that GOD is just, and He still moves in the earth and in the hearts of men. and i know that to every physical occurence, there is a Spiritual side that we need consider. there is a lot of darkness that reigns in America, and there were lots of Spiritual strongholds in New Orleans and in that whole area. in order for revival to come, and for the government to be cleansed, and for the hearts of men to, once again, acknowledge the Lord, then there needs to be some awakenings. sometimes the only way GOD can get man's attention is by shaking things up, and it can come in the form of a hurricane, a tornado, an earthquake, a bomb, a war... because GOD's not as interested in saving physical lives as He is in saving Spiritual lives. it's all about advancing His Kingdom, and until we have an eternal mindset, then we'll never understand that.
hey.. wow that was long.
It was devastating what happened to those people during the storm.
I hope that the US troops should be more early so that they can help a lot of people and they should anticipate their needs.
How's it going?
