Well, I didn't get to the beach after all. Hurricane Emily was just hitting the Ukatan penninsula when we were going to go to South Padre. We decided to just stay in San Antonio and wait to see what it did after that. We decided to skip the trip when we found that it was heading directly towards Padre. A couple of my in-laws went anyway and had one day of fun before the hurricane hit the island. Then they were silly enough to stay on the island while the hurricane passed over their head.
Instead of going to an island with a hurricane, we instead came back to Dallas and went to Hurricane Harbor (a six-flags owned waterpark). We only got a little sunburned. All in all, it was a good vacation, even though we didn't do much. I got to stay at home and relax, read a few good books, and watch a few good movies (War of the Worlds, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, and Dark Water).
On another note, I bought another copy of Coldplay's X&Y, since my first one is stuck in my car radio (it was cheaper than buying another radio).

i liked las vegas when i was there in march, but i'd never heard of the steve martin thing. wish i'd known. where is it? i think i get christmas day and new years day off. lucky me.
funny thing, i liked tom cruises's acting in the movie. and i remember thinking that i'd never really enjoyed his acting as much as i did in this movie. and the little girl was good, but she also screamed a lot.
i saw a theater production last night downtown of phantom of the opera. i liked it better than the movie. the phantom was unbelievably good! great actor and singer.
Wow, you got a wife? hehe.. I thought you were still, um... my age.. lol
Anyway, that was creepy, about those frogs... Gosh, if I was her, I would be screaming! lol I guess I am like your wife. True, as a nursing student, we were taught not to be grossed out at blood and stuff, but huge toads and huge lizards, I can't stand that! hehe. So, what were you watching when you were at the house? Don't tell me, you were watching something with creepy-crawling stuff too!
I could just imagine what the frog looked like when your wife threw it out.. hehehehe. I bet it was saying, "why am I being treated like this?"
Hmmm. I am very emotional on all other animals except those frogs and big lizards.. hehe. I bet I wouldnt hesitate throwing one out..
How's it going? Anyway, gotta run! I got a party to attend
